Saul Ronsayro: Solo Leveling (outside reading 3)
This is another favorite series of mine, that follows a monster hunter, one of the worst in the country, on his rise to become the strongest being on the face of the planet. If you could not tell, this is a recurring theme for the books i like to read outside of class, with straightforward yet enjoyable hero's journeys. And one of this class's many benefits is that i can now better understand this familiar trope. That being said, this story not is not only that of a hero's journey, but also one of learning to cope with being different than the rest of the population. This is something i take to heart, because something i know i have experienced at college, along with a slew of other people, is that not being the norm is a good thing, and something to embrace.
