Saul Ronsayro: the Noland Trail (my choosing 1)
I grew up outdoors. Whether kayaking, fishing, hiking, or just sitting by a lake reading, I was always outdoors. Every summer my family and I would head up to a dude ranch in the Adirondacks by lake George, where we would spend our time on horseback, sitting by a beautiful lake, going on one of the several hikes in the area. When I first came to CNU, i had never heard of the Noland Trail before, and did not really until after my first semester was done. Using one of the very few free weekend mornings I had, I decided to walk it to get myself back outdoors. One thing that I have learned throughout this class is just how powerful a simple walk can be, and i honestly think that going that short hike changed my life. Seeing the beauty of nature right next to campus, it made me realize that going just a little outside of your bubble can have wonderous effects.
