Saul Ronsayro Myth became fact (assigned reading 1)
There were a few key things I took away from reading this, the first of which being the main talking point about Christianity. the author goes on to talk about how one of his friends says that no one is truly Christian anymore, citing that no one can actually believe it with how "barbarous" it is. I find this to be relatively interesting being someone who isn't Christian themselves, but it does allow you to wonder that if this is correct, why is it now one of the worlds most dominant religions? the author immediately counteracts this by stating he believes everything to be false, but that question still remains. The entire article circles around the fact that myth, be it religion or otherwise, serves as a way for humans to analyze the abstract concepts that we think about through the solidness of reality. This is in and of itself a topic worthy of exploring, but to simplify it, it gives humans the able to understand things that we cannot understand. Which i personally think raises the question of what else can myth do?
