Grayson Plummer: Outside Readings: Journal Entry #13- Never Finished pt 1.

Throughout my marathon training, I read a few different books on running, of which I will be describing throughout my journal entries. For this blog, I will be discussing the book Never Finished by David Goggins, in which he describes his life in relation to his experiences with running. The quote that I want to focus on for this blog is, “incremental progress is still progress, I said to myself. One step is all that is required to take the next one". Throughout my training, of my worst of the worst runs, I would have to remind myself a specific saying that would give me perspective. This quote was "Can I take one more step". Although it would sometimes be joked around with among my friends, at times I really meant it. This little saying I think relates to this quote, because at the end of the day, some progress is better then no progress. I found that if I asked myself if I could take one more step. I generally could do that for a while, finishing my run.
