Grayson Plummer- In class Reading- Journal Entry 6- Joseph Campbell and the Cosmos
Back in early January, we looked at Campbell's readings on the cosmos in which in class we described it as ordered reality, while everything outside the cosmos is considered chaos. Campbell breaks down cosmos and chaos in regards to the hero's journey, where he calls it a microcosm. He states that in many cases, the hero's adventure is often depicted as a quest to restore balance and harmony to the cosmos, overcoming chaos and disorder.
