Grayson Plummer: In Class Reading- Blog #7- A Relevation of Love

On 4/4 we looked at the Revelation of Love, and discussed the readings in class. We looked at the different types of love such as philia, philio, eros, agape, and venus. Philia is described as like brotherly-love or friendship love, which are both a deep friendship between individuals. Eros refers to romantic or passionate love, typically involving desire, attraction, and intimacy. Very similar to this, venus is described from what I can tell as strictly sexual love, more aligned with desire and pleasure derived from the senses.  Agape is more unconditional, selfless love that seeks the well-being and welfare of others without wanting anything in return.
