Gabe Snyder Blog 13 - Homer's Works (Required Reading)
Homer's Iliad and The Odyssey showcase humanity's interaction with the gods, as if the gods, these supernatural beings more powerful than all of humanity combined, treat humans as warring ants, as pets, as an experiment of how society and culture changes. Are we simply entertainment for the gods? Are we able to interact with them? In the Odyssey, many characters, despite their limited power, are able to enrage or tempt the gods, often times receiving punishment for their actions in karmic ways.
