Emma Scott (In Class Reading) Teresa and Bernini's Sculpture

What is the sublime? It is something that is great, expensive, grand, or something that is beautiful or pleasing to us as human beings. Typically, the sublime is overwhelming and too much to take in and can be captured through wilderness landscape paintings.

In the reading in class we discussed how you can not see or understand with your eyes but based on your internal journey you can see the bigger picture. The internal journey is what allows you to "see." Teresa who was a writer wrote a map, but told other people not to follow that particular map because each individual has to create their own personal map which provides their internal journey.

A question that I posed to myself after reading this "Do I truly know myself?".  My soul is uncharted territory that I have to one way or another stop running from and try to discover what lies in my soul. Even though I think I know myself I started to realize that there is always more that you can learn from yourself, because you and your internal journey are always changing.

What does delectable mean? It is something that can be wounded (they go together). People can consider something to be delectable even if it is morally wrong. This makes me curious what do you call something that is morally wrong and is not special, enjoyable, or something considered delectable?
